How to Draw A Pirate ready for some action
Learn how to draw a pirate, once the most feared character on the planet! Indeed, pirates are a big part of history. So big that movies and books involving pirates are still quite popular today. The sea is safer now, but there are still some criminals that are tempted to attack other ships to steal merchandises. Let's see how we can draw a traditional cartoon pirate using only simple shapes and just a few basic details.

Step 1
Nice! Let's move along and draw a large oval shape to represent the head of this adorable cartoon pirate. The body and the pants are made from both a long and short rectangle.
Step 2
This second step is quite important and filled with many elements. First, draw the eyes using large circles. The ears are made from smaller ones. The arms are created using rectangles and the hands circular shapes. Don't forget the feet. See below for more details.
Step 3
Another complex step! Draw some pupils using circles. The mouth is made from a pointed line, just like the nose is. A thin beard can be added around the mouth. Look at the picture below to help you sketch the shape of the hat properly.
Step 4
A simple sword can be drawn inside the right hand of the cartoon pirate. Once again, curved lines are mostly used to depict this object.
Step 5
Complete this drawing tutorial by adding a skull on the hat of the pirate. A large belt made from rectangles and some buttons also made from rectangles are added to the shirt of the character.
Step 6
This is the final image featuring the complete design. It's a little bit more complex to draw than other characters from the same series, but you should be able to reach your goal with some practice.
